Touchstones Rochdale mounted a solo exhibition with Glasgow-based sculptor Claire Barclay in 2015, and the Contemporary Art Society had donated prints and sculptures by Barclay to Touchstones Rochdale in 2012. Its collection amplified this group by the addition of the 2005 sculpture Silver Gilt. In recent years Rochdale has prioritised collecting and exhibiting works by women artists.
