Peter Logan (1943)

Biography

Peter Logan (b. Witney, Oxfordshire, UK 1943) studied at Camberwell School of Arts and Crafts and Slade School of Fine Art and taught at Wimbledon School of Art, Reading University and Goldsmiths’ College, London. Logan’s sculptures were shown at Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, in 1986 at the Energy World exhibition, then Guardian Royal Exchange commissioned his Javelin I, which was erected in 1988 at Wolverton Mill. Arts Council holds his O for a Ballerina, 1979, in aluminium with electric motors and computer control and John Sainsbury (1927-2022) acquired for the Contemporary Art Society, Square Dance (1970) which was donated to the Tate in the same year.
