Art Night is a free contemporary arts festival that puts art into extraordinary locations around London (and around UK in 2021) for one night a year. It started in 2016. Each year the festival partners with a leading cultural institution and curator, focusing on a different area of London to explore its distinctive identity, culture and architecture through various forms of art. Collaboration between Art Night and the Contemporary Art Society: a major installation by Anne Hardy was acquired for Leeds Art Gallery (2017); Contemporary Art Society and Art Night co-commissioned Prem Sahib to create a pavilion in Vauxhall Park for Art Night 2018; co-commissioned a work by artist Oscar Murillo. Letter from America (2019) was a site-specific installation and performance at the Walthamstow Trades Hall. Murillo gifted four drawings made over etchings, entitled The Poetics of Flight, to Bristol Museum and Art Gallery.
