Physical Object Description:

Rays of sunlight shine through dark clouds driving across the water and wet sands; at the foot of low hills to the left, a drift of white smoke; second state, in which signature is added and the sky is lightened a little in parts. 1929 Mezzotint. Signed "S" (monogram on shield), above the lower margin to right; below the lower margin, also to right, inscribed in pencil, "Frank Short".
