Heavy waves are breaking on the beach at Seaford; the cliff, breakwater and lighthouse of Newhaven on the right; a dark cloud driving up from the left obscures the setting sun. 1930 Mezzotint. Signed "S" (monogram on shield), above lower margin to right; and inscribed in pencil, evidently by artist, below lower margin to right, "Frank Short".
