Charles S. 'Pic' Higgins (1893 - 1980)

Biography

Charles S. Higgins (b. Belgrano, Buenos Aires, Argentina 1893 - d. London, UK 1980) studied art in London, France and Italy. He often signed his pictures Pic (and in his books he used the pen-name Ian Dall). He was married to the painter Kate Olver. Higgins exhibited at galleries in London, in the USA, Rome and Paris. The Contemporary Art Society bought his work, La lutte angelique (1948) and donated it to Leicester Museum and art Gallery in 1952.
