Monday 4 November 7pm
East London & Bellanger, Islington

Join CAS for the next Artist Table edition featuring an evening with international artist Chantal Joffe in their studio followed by a dinner at Bellanger, Islington.

Joffe’s works bring a combination of insight and integrity, as well as psychological and emotional force, to the genre of figurative art. Defined by its clarity, honesty and empathy, her work is attuned to our awareness as both observers and observed beings, and is questioning, complex and emotionally rich. Notions of sensuality and self-disclosure are parcelled up in works of mobile immediacy.

Chantal will lead a guided ceramic painting session for all guests in her studio, followed by dinner at Bellanger in Islington. CAS has acquired many of Joffe’s works, including three for The New Art Gallery Walsall in 2016 and Bella in a Vest, 2016, for Sunderland Museum & Winter Gardens in 2019.
