The CAS Future Fund was established in June 2019 to support the future of contemporary art in the UK.

The Contemporary Art Society has been championing the most exciting artists of the day for over a hundred years, acquiring their work for museums across the UK, to be shared by everyone.

In a difficult financial climate we want to ensure our core charitable mission – of donating the best art and craft to museums around the UK – continues for another century and more.  Through the CAS Future Fund, we aim to create a sustainable source of income for future museum acquisitions and associated activities.

We ask you to consider supporting the Future Fund by making a donation today, or by leaving a donation to the Contemporary Art Society in your Will.

A gift of any size will leave a lasting legacy on contemporary art in the UK, and will:

  • Be part of the next great discovery

The CAS has a great track record of spotting talent ahead of the curve and accelerating an artist’s career by placing their work in public collections. By supporting the Future Fund, you will help us discover the next Peter Doig, Bridget Riley or Rachel Whiteread and give them the public endorsement they deserve at a critical moment.

  • Safeguard the best contemporary art for future generations

We currently support 72 museums across the UK: the vast majority are outside London, and for many membership of the CAS is the only means by which contemporary art enters their collections.  Your gift will secure our ability to go supporting these museums, ensuring that the best art of today is accessible for generations to come.

Thank you for considering the future of contemporary art in the UK.
