Following the Contemporary Art Society’s recent acquisition of two works by Anthea Hamilton for Hepworth Wakefield, and in advance of her first solo US museum exhibition at the SculptureCenter, New York in September, Anthea talks about her recent work. Starting by discussing Leg Chair (2012), Anthea will present some past and future projects – including her commission for the forthcoming British Art Show – while also explaining the influences of dance, performance and theatre in her practice.
