Collection of Eric and Jean Cass

Eric and Jean Cass have dedicated over 35 years of their lives to supporting artists. Over this time they have built up an outstanding and very personal collection of over 300 sculptures, ceramics, drawings prints and paintings with work by Karel Appel, Lynn Chadwick, Michael Craig-Martin, Barbara Hepworth, Allen Jones, Henry Moore, John Piper and many others. Every work they have was bought because it in some way gives Eric and Jean immense enjoyment.

In 2010/11 the Cass’s generously gifted 13 modern and contemporary sculptures which the Contemporary Art Society subsequently presented to public collections through a careful process. Over the coming year collections will continue to benefit as we start to distribute more work from Eric and Jean’s wonderful collection.
