The Ashmolean Museum in Oxford is showing one of the pioneers of African and Arab Modernism, Ibrahim El-Salahi, whilst in Cambridge, Kettle’s Yard has invited Anthony Gormley to take over the galleries in their first solo show since its re-opening.
For craft lovers, Michael Eden has created new pieces responding to objects from Waddesdon Manor’s collection, where he is artist in residence. Formally a potter, he uses digital technology to push materials to their extremes and we acquired his work for Tullie House Museum in 2014.
