Do you want to develop your permanent collections with contemporary art?
Are you interested in developing your collection through a gift of a work of contemporary art from the Contemporary Art Society?
The membership of £1,700 per year for the Fine Art Acquisitions Scheme and £550 for the Craft Omega Fund offers a range of opportunities to Members. The current membership stands at 70 institutions that hold approximately 100 collections. We ask for a commitment from new Members for a minimum of four years.
Membership provides access to the following:
The Acquisition Scheme: works are acquired with funds from the CAS and gifted to the Member Museum. Each Member Museum is guaranteed a work every four years on the condition that the Museum Member commits to the necessary time and resources to research and identify work for purchase.
Special Projects: eligibility to apply for Great Works, The Collections Fund, Valeria Napoleone XX Contemporary Art Society (VN XX CAS) and the Jackson Tang Ceramics Award.
Gifts and Bequests: eligibility for gifts and bequests managed through the Contemporary Art Society.
The Curator CPD Programme: As of 2016, Museum Members now join our Curator CPD Programme, the Subject Specialist Network for Contemporary Art in the UK. Organisational membership provides access for your team to a year round programme of events, seminars, conferences and national and international research trips, with travel bursaries available.
