Pavilion is a visual arts commissioning organisation that supports artists to make ambitious new works of art.  Film and video have formed a significant part of Pavilion’s recent programme. Commissions have included Lucy Skaer’s Film For An Abandoned Projector, Aurélien Froment’s 9 Intervals and Melvin Moti’s The Eightfold dot.

Despite the wealth of contemporary moving image works in public collections, exhibitions and biennials, many private collectors are mystified by the complex issues surrounding artists’ film and video. Over breakfast, Pavilion Director Gill Park will discuss the process of commissioning, presenting and collecting ‘art in the moving image’, alongside screenings of selected work from the Pavilion collection.

Please RSVP to moira@contemporaryartsociety.org or 07946 604 109 and let us know if you are bringing a guest.

Free parking is available on the forecourt or on the street around the cinema.
