Art Gene delivers innovative art, design and architecture projects in the social, natural and built environment. During 2011 they worked in partnership with Barrow Borough Council on a number of initiatives under the banner of ‘Barrow by Design’. One of these projects was the refurbishment of the Ship Inn on Piel Island. Exhibits include a King’s table, engraved with social, historical and wildlife images, a ‘cabinet of curiosities’, beer maps, and a map of the Island.

Join Maddi Nicholson and Stuart Bastik, artists and directors of Art Gene, to hear about this project and for a tour of Piel Island. The day will include a boat trip and lunch at the Ship Inn.
