Join us for a tour of the The Late Shows.
The Late Shows is part of ‘Museums at Night’, the national festival of arts & culture. Now in its sixth year, The Late Shows was the first to join up venues across a city – Newcastle and Gateshead – and is the largest ‘Museums at Night’ event in the country. As part of this weekend long programme of activity, this Saturday night tour will take in a number of events and cultural venues, including:
Inhibitor, an audiovisual piece by Ed Carter, installed within the Northern tower of the Tyne Bridge exploring PARP inhibitors – a new type of cancer treatment discovered in Newcastle.
Legacy, an exhibition curated by George Georgiou at Side Gallery, featuring work by Polish, Ukranian, Russian, Canadian and British documentary photographers, exploring the contexts, conflicts and landscapes of the new ‘debatable lands’ between Russia and the European Union.
