Join us for a studio visit with artist Hannah Dargavel-Leafe.
Through investigations using sound, architecture and musical notation Dargavel-Leafe seeks to explore what a moment is; how space is inhabited and sculpture might perform. She states: “Imagine we could see time like we see a landscape, that moments are physical, rhythms are structures, the staves of a score is the space where things occur.”
Dargavel-Leafe graduated with a BA in Fine Art from Manchester School of Art in 2010. Her work has since featured in exhibitions at a number of galleries including the ICA in London, The International 3 in Manchester and Bluecoat Gallery in Liverpool. In September this year she begins an MA at the world-renowned Slade School of Art in London.
