Founded in 1977, Open Eye is an independent not-for-profit photography gallery based in Liverpool. 2011 is big year for the Gallery as it re-launches in a brand new purpose-built home in one of the City’s most prestigious and prominent developments on the Liverpool Waterfront.
Join Patrick Henry (Director) and Karen Newman (Curator) for a private reception at the new space and a chance to view the opening exhibitions including the first UK solo show by American photographer Mitch Epstein. Entitled American Power, Epstein’s photographs examine how energy is produced and used in the American landscape, questioning the power of nature, government and corporations.
