The majority of his collection is on display in his beautiful 17th century cottage near Otley, North Yorkshire.

• A tour of the Northern Art Prize 2011 at Leeds Art Gallery, led by Curator Sarah Brown. Open to professional artists of any age living in the North of England, this year’s shortlisted artists are Leo Fitzmaurice, James Hugonin, Liadin Cooke, and Richard Rigg.
