We are delighted to invite you to join us on an escorted trip to the Berlin Biennale in June. Over a three-day programme, Friday 13 – Sunday 15 June, 2014, we will visit the official exhibitions of the Biennale, other key galleries in the city and selected artists’ studios to offer you privileged access to the vibrant and important art scene.
Curated by Juan A Gaitan, the 8th Berlin Biennale for Contemporary Art will bring together a range of local and international artistic positions that explore the intersection between larger historical narratives and individuals’ lives.
Full details of the itinerary will be finalised nearer the time and an accompanying guide will be put together but expect three full days of visits with opportunities to meet some of the curators, gallerists and artists. We propose that Members arrive on the evening of Thursday 12 June and that we meet over a social drink where we can outline the programme and meeting points.
The trip is being organised by Matthew Hearn and Moira Innes, Collector Development Managers in the North East and Yorkshire and Sarah Page, Membership Programmes Manager in London.
