23 February 2022

11.00—15.00

Sackler CPD Programme members: free
£20 for non-members. Lunch included

We will start the morning with a tour of Body, Vessel, Clay; Black Women, Ceramics & Contemporary Art at Two Temple Place by Head of Exhibitions, Rebecca Hone. The exhibition spans 70 years of ceramics, celebrating the medium in new and surprising ways.

Beginning with the seminal Nigerian potter, Ladi Kwali, and examining her interaction with 1950s British Studio Pottery, this important new exhibition brings together a rich history with experimental new works by Black women working with clay today.

Following this, we will visit the Collect Art Fair for a tour with curator and collector Sarah Griffin. We will end the morning with a lunch together at Indian House.

Please RSVP to Dr Ilaria Puri Purini at Ilaria@contemporaryartsociety.org to reserve your place.

Travel Bursaries are available for Museum Members, please apply by 11 February 2022. To apply and download the Contemporary Art Society Travel Bursary Form (.docx)

To book a place as a non-CPD Programme member please pay using the link below (please note that cancellations closer than 48 hours before the event cannot be refunded)
