We are delighted to offer Collector Members of the Contemporary Art Society an exclusive tour of the Hiscox art collection. Hiscox are not only major insurers of art, but, for forty years, have been collectors and enablers of it as well. Hiscox acquire works by living artists, and from time to time sponsor college prizes and public exhibitions. The collection hangs in their offices and Hiscox firmly believes that this improves their employees’ morale. Owning art helps the company enormously in its understanding of and ability to underwrite it, and is a good investment in its own right.
Artists represented in the collection include Darren Almond, John Baldessari, Langlands and Bell, Richard Billingham, Martin Boyce, Christopher Bucklow, Marcus Coates, Lilah Fowler, Cyprien Gaillard, Sarah Lucas, Vik Muniz, Lili-Reynaud-Dewar, Erin Shirreff, Jane and Louise Wilson, Clare Woods and many more.
