The Contemporary Art Society is pleased to present

The Artist’s Table hosted by Tai Shani

With Charlotte Artus, Liesl Fichardt, Emma Goltz, Suling Mead, Valeria Napoleone, Bianca Roden and Cathy Wills.

This bespoke artist curated event will take place on Tuesday 26 October 2021.

At Cromwell Place, South Kensington

This edition of the Artist’s Table will take place at the iconic Cromwell Place where Turner Prize-winning Tai Shani will use the historic Lavery Studio and contemporary Pavilion for a special screening of her new work, The Neon Hieroglyph, created earlier this year.

Live music will be performed to the original score written by composer and musician Maxwell Sterling. A performance will be given by actor Molly Moody and dinner will be created by internationally recognised chef and restauranteur Ollie Dabbous. Tailoring by Roksanda.

Guests will also have an exclusive opportunity to acquire an edition of just 10 by the artist made specially for this event. Produced by Omni in London on Hannemeuhle Museum paper, each print will be signed and hand-embellished with gold leaf and relief collage elements. 50 x 40cm unframed. The edition costs £1,500 unframed and £1,850 with a bespoke frame specified by the artist. Please click here to view the work.

Tickets £650. Please book before 8 October 2021 to secure your place. Should the event not take place due to Covid your ticket can be used towards future Artist’s Table events.

This is a fundraising event, all proceeds directly benefit the charitable mission of the Contemporary Art Society.

Tai Shani is an artist living and working in London. She is the joint 2019 Turner Prize winner together with Lawrence Abu Hamdan, Helen Cammock and Oscar Murillo. In 2019 Tai was a Max Mara prize nominee. Her work has been shown at Turner Contemporary, UK (2019); Grazer Kunst Verein, Austria (2019); Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo, Italy (2019); Glasgow International, UK (2018); Wysing Arts Centre, UK (2017); Serpentine Galleries, London (2016); Tate, London (2016); Yvonne Lambert Gallery, Berlin (2016) and Irish Museum of Modern Art, Dublin (2016).

 

Terms and Conditions:
In the event that you are not able to attend the event tickets are refundable if two calendar months in advance of the event otherwise a refund is not possible. The ticket is transferable provided the Contemporary Art Society is aware of the new guest name one week in advance of the event. It is NOT possible to resell the tickets.
