The Contemporary Art Society is delighted to present an evening talk dedicated to the benefits and challenges of contemporary art in the mental health setting. The Contemporary Art Society’s Consultancy team were appointed to develop an Art Strategy for the Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust, and to commission artists Nicky Hirst and James Ireland to create site specific works for key areas of the newly built Kingfisher Court at Kingsley Green in Radlett.

The artists, Wendy de Silva, Director of P+HS Architects and Kingfisher Court  Project Director Dr Barry Trindall will come together with Contemporary Art Society Art Consultant Helen Nisbet to discuss the commissioning process, the focus on high quality art in the health care unit, and the considerations around creatively supporting mental health services.
