It tells the local stories, from its earliest people to the present day. The Percy Laws Memorial Gallery hosts temporary exhibitions by local artists working in a variety of styles and media, including photography. The museum was created in 1983 and an art gallery was built in 1994, financed by the Percy Laws Memorial Fund of the Rotary Club of Retford.
