The Trilogy (The World of Jule Eisenbud, Intermission and Extramission 2)(2005-10) is a work for three screens, two monitors and one projected work installed within a black cloth structure. Lindsay Seers has made a special adaptation of the work for Rugby Art Gallery which will be shown for the first time as part of the collection in March 2011. Seers’s highly personal narratives combine concepts of science, philosophy and photographic theory. It is her ongoing investigation into how cinematic and photographic technologies shape us that drew the curators at Rugby to purchase this work with the Contemporary Art Society along with support from the V&A Purchase Fund. This is a major addition to the collection and assists Rugby to evolve their focus on photography and the work of artists who use digital media.
