This is possibly the terrace at 47 Downshire Hill, Hampstead, London NW3 where Gilbert Spencer lived for a time with the Carline family, and was a member of their artistic circle. Richard Carline painted this terrace in 'Gathering on the Terrace', 1925, in the Ferens Art Gallery, Hull.
