A bright landscape with a strip of blue water in the middle distance, and scattered buildings on the bank behind. There is a notably tall, grey anonymous structure on the right with a brown roof. The quay is visible jutting out into the water to the left. In the foreground, a sailing boat is visible with red and black trim, as well as the 'fork' of a construction vehicle, and other more abstract shapes perhaps involved in the contruction process. The paint work is mottled and indicative of the artist's developing interest in impressionism, the summer colours are bright and vibrant.
