Portrait of Louis Malteste's wife, bust-length, turned to the right and looking towards the viewer, wearing a plumed hat and a cape; signed impression. 1896 Lithograph. Signed and dated by Malteste, in pencil: 'Louis Malteste 1896'; annotated in pencil on recto: 'Portrait de la femme de l'artiste', 'Pierre effacée après deux épreuves tirées / ouis Malteste'. Annotated by Malteste on verso, in black ink: 'Certifié deuxième et dernière épreuve. Le tirage a été interrompu par suite d'accident survenu à la pierre. Le dessin abimé a été effacé aussitôt après cette deuxième épreuve - Louis Malteste 1896'.
