Self-portrait at his desk, half-length facing front, wearing glasses and holding cigarette with his left hand; small statue, jar and porcelain plate on the chimney-piece behind, fragment of framed townscape in the background. Etching and drypoint, with surface tone.Signed in pencil below image. Annotated with title and numbered: "72/125". Inscribed on plate: "Biblioteek van Hooge geleerdheio / [...]be [...]ieakette" (?).
