Physical Object Description:
Low table carved by computer from a solid block of non-formaldehyde MDF, hand finished by craftsmen, and sprayed with white polyurethane coating. Sinuous organic form (Hanne-Yasume translates from Japanese as 'resting wings'). To left form rises from ground to horizontal plane to create upper surface, then curves downwards. To right form rises from ground to horizontal plane to create lower surface, meeting left side to create lozenge-shaped recess (could be magazine rack). Foot supports central section, splaying outwards at ground before tapering inwards, and splaying outwards again to below recess.
