Biography
CW+ is the official charity of Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. It manages a collection of over 1,800 works of art displayed throughout their hospitals and sites to enhance the environment for their patients, visitors and staff. It believes that bringing original artwork and integrating good design into its hospitals helps to create a healing environment. The oldest piece in the collection is The Resurrection by Paolo Veronese, from around 1580. CW+ continues to develop the collection by commissioning artists and designers to create work specifically for the hospital. Chelsea Arts Club, founded by artists in 1891, hosts a revolving exhibition of artworks from the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital art collection.
