Biography
Stockport War Memorial Art Gallery was bulit after WW1 and rather than erect a traditional war memorial to commemorate the dead, the residents decided to build an art gallery. It has a long history of exhibitions from some of the artworld's finest artists. It has an extensive exhibition programme, which now gives emerging artists a chance to showcase their work.
