Physical Object Description:

Stamped on the back of base Niki and barely legible foundry mark. There were 12 casts made of this work but each one was painted uniquely. The work is also known as Le Couple au Ballon. Eric and Jean Cass also owned a larger, very similar work - Les Baigneurs (1970), purchased from Gimpel Fis on 1 July 1987 and sold on 1 July 1998, the work had been situated in their garden.
