Baroness Sudeley Edith Celandine Cecil, Mrs Eric Kennington (1886 - 1975)

Biography

Edith Cecil (1886-1975) was the daughter of Lord Francis Horace Pierrepont Cecil and Edith Brooks. She was born in Oakham, Rutlandshire, England. She was married firstly to William Charles Frederick Hanbury-Tracy, 5th Baron Sudeley of Toddington, son of Charles Douglas Richard Hanbury-Tracy, 4th Baron Sudeley of Toddington and Ada Maria Katherine Tollemache, on the 4th of August 1905 at Oakham, Rutlandshire, England. She and William Charles Frederick Hanbury-Tracy, 5th Baron Sudeley of Toddington were divorced in 1922. She married, secondly, Eric Henri Kennington, son of Thomas Benjamin Kennington and Eliza Nilla Lindahl Steweni, on the 26th of September 1922 at the New Forest, Hampshire, England. She was a Contemporary Art Fund Pottery and Crafts Fund subscriber in 1942.
