Claire Partington (1973)

Biography

Claire Partington (b.  Wigan, UK 1973) studied for an undergrdauate degree in fine art (1995) and a postfgraduate in museum studies (2000) at Central Saint Martins,London where  she now lives and works. Recent solo exhibitions include Winston Wächter Fine Art, Seattle (2022) and James Freeman Gallery, London (2021). Group shows include Mindy Solomon Gallery, Miami, Florida; Compton Verney, UK (both 2021). Partington received the Virginia A. Groot Award in 2018.  Her work is held in collections including the Victoria & Albert Museum, London; the Museum of London; Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool; Aberdeen Art Gallery, Scotland; the Seattle Art Museum, USA; and the Reyden Weiss Collection, Germany.
