Tamiko O'Brien studied a North East London Polytechnic (1984-87) and Chelsea School of Art and Design (1987-88). She was the Principal of the City&Guilds of London Art School (2014-22). From May to August 2014 O'Brien worked as Artist in Residence at Youkobo Art Space sponsored by the Japanese Agency for Cultural Affairs. The project involved a workshop at Tokyo Geijutsu Daigaku with MA and Research students based at OJUN lab. She is part of the artitsic duo Dunhill and O'Brien.
