Arthur Robert Laird (1881 - 1958)

Biography

Arthur Robert Laird (b. UK 1881 - d. 1958) studied at Camberwell School of Arts and Crafts where his tutors were Herbert Cole and Francis Jackson. He then attended Westminster School of Art studying under Walter Sickert and Harold Gilman. He exhibited at the Royal Academy, Royal Society of British Artists, Society of Graphic Art. He was a lithographer who belonged to the Senefelder Club and was vice president of the South London Group. He became secretary of Camberwell School of Arts and Crafts. His work is held in the V&A Museum as well as in the British Museum.
