Brian Collier (b. Bolton, Lancashire, UK 1945) studied at Bolton College of Art and printmaking at Brighton College of Art. He went to Atelier 17 in Paris and had a scholarship at the British School at Rome. He taught at Temple University, Philadelphia, USA and Ravensbourne College of Design and Commmunication, Chislehurst, Kent and Royal College of Art (1986-96) whose students he would also accommodate at his studio at Castel San Vincenzo, Italy.
