Biography
Chris Keenan (b. Gillingham, Kent, UK 1960) studied Drama at the University of Hull (1978-81) and Webber-Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art (1982) before taking an apprencticeship with the potter Edmund de Waal (1995-7). He received the Setting Up Grant from the Crafts Council (1999); was awarded the Best Domestic Product, Evening Standard Homes and Property at the Chelsea Craft Fair (1999) and won the Best in Show prize, Grand Designs Magazine at Origin, The London Craft Fair (2006). He has had solo shows at Oxford Ceramics Gallery (2013); The Scottish Gallery, Edinburgh (2013); and Beaux Arts, Bath (2016) as well as participating in group shows around the UK, USA and Japan.
