Mary Restieaux RDI (1945)

Biography

Mary Restieaux (b. Norwich, UK 1945) is a textile designer and a master weaver of Ikat art. She was part of the First Eleven Studio and was introduced to the designer Hervé Leger, Paris, where she worked for many years as his colourist. She graduated from the Royal College of Art in 1974 and established a studio in south east London where she uses a traditional handloom to weave designs for clients in the fashion and interiors industries.
