Trip to Amsterdam: Sonic Acts Biennial, The Spell of the Sensuous

Join the CAS for a research trip to Amsterdam, where we will explore the transformative power of sound, performance and other time-based artistic materialities. We will participate in an ‘intensive’ and ‘immersive’ weekend, organised by Sonic Acts in the context of their 30 year anniversary, bringing together multimedia artworks exploring issues around the climate emergency, global geopolitics, and the intangible. The trip will include visits to a multi-sensory exhibition in W139 and Looiersgracht 60; a two-day symposium in the Stedelijk Museum; and the experience of a sound installation at the Muziekgebouw concert hall.
