Saul Fletcher (1967 - 2020)

Biography

Saul Fletcher (b. Barton-upon-Humber, Linclonshire, UK 1967 - d. Berlin, Germany 2020) lived and worked in Berlin. Recent exhibitions include The Imminence of Poetics, 30th Sao Paulo Biennale (2012); Portrait of the Artist As… (The Courtauld Institute of Art, London, 2012); Focal Points: Art and Photography (Manchester Art Gallery, 2012); and Spirit Level, curated by Ugo Rondinone at Gladstone Gallery, New York (2012). His work is held in numerous museum collections including that of Nottingham Castle Museum and Art Gallery, UK; British Arts Council; Dallas Museum of Art; DESTE Foundation, Athens; Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, New York and Walker Art Center, Minneapolis. He commited suicide after allegedly killing Berlin-based American art curator Rebeccah Blum (1967-2020), his former partner.
