John D. Shelley (b. 1938 Margate, Kent, UK - d. 2020) studied at Wimbledon School of Art, 1953-8; won a British Institution Fund Award in 1957; and studied at Slade School of Fine Art, 1958. His teachers included Gerald Cooper. He showed at the Trafford Gallery and elsewhere and the Tate has Annunciation, 1968 (T01125).
