Biography
Andrew Mummery, an independent visual arts consultant and curator of the Carol Rhodes Estate, set up and ran two art galleries – the Andrew Mummery Gallery (1996 -2006), and Mummery + Schnelle (2007- 2014). In 2018 he moved to Scotland and set up A-M-G5 in Glasgow as a space for exhibitions and dialogue, and as a publisher of limited edition books and prints. A-M-G5 works with visual artists, designers, creative writers, musicians and curators and currently shares the exhibition space, 20 Albert Road, with the curatorial groups Cento and Ivory Tars. Its exhibitions focus on a single work by an invited artis and each is accompanied by a book containing documentation of the exhibited artwork and a specially commissioned piece of creative writing. Publications have also included books made in close collaboration with individual artists.
