Peter Griffin (1947 - 2020)

Biography

Pater Griffin (b. Wakefield, Yorkshire, UK 1947 - d. 2020) studied at The Royal College of Art (1977) and received The Rome Scholarship in Painting (1979). He was also awarded The Wingate Fellowship for Humanities in the Arts (1992). Solo exhibitions included: Sealed With Fire (The Neruda Prints)  (2013) and I Am Only The Head, a twenty year restrospective, both at The Mark Rothko Foundation Centre, Daugavpils, Latvia (2014). He frequently exhibited at the Broadbent Gallery, London and Galeri GL Lerje, Copenhagen, Denmark, amongst others.
