Larry Bigelow (1925 - 1996)

Biography

Larry Bigelow (b. 1925 Paris, France - d. 1996) was an American artist who at the same time worked undercover for the CIA. He painted landscapes from his travels around the world, as he sought to blend his public and private occupations.   Bigelow was born in Paris in 1925 to Foreign Service parents, and was a decorated war hero in WW2 before becoming an OSS agent in Italy and later joining the CIA. By he early 1960s, his paintings were shown at prominent galleries in New York, London and Dublin.
