Betty Purvis (1905 - 1935)

Biography

Betty Jervis (b. Greenwich, London 1905 - d. 1935) studied at the Central School of Arts and Crafts in the 1920s. She exhibited with the Contemporary Art Society, who purchased three of her lithographs, she also exhibited with the Senefelder Club in 1930; several of her drawings of animals in the London Zoological Gardens were included in an article on her work by Campbell Dodgson in 'Artwork', Autumn 1930.
