Biography
Shizuko Kimura (b. Japan 1963 - d. 2012) joined the 62 Group of Textile Artists in 1998 and studied as a post-graduate at the Royal College of Art in 2000. She was an artist working in a form of figurative fine art but entreated the viewer to recognise the textile root of her work. Her beautifully delicate life drawings in thread; embroidery on fine muslin were always an arresting addition to its exhibitions.
