Artist Noemie Goudal’s print Satellite II is currently on display in Leamington Spa Art Gallery & Museum’s ‘Spotlight’ area, to coincide with the temporary exhibition Concealment & Deception.

Noemie Goudal is a French artist who graduated from the Royal College of Art in 2010 with an MA in Photography and lives and works between Paris and London. Noemie is represented by Edel Assanti (London) and the Galerie Les Filles du Calvaire (Paris).

The Contemporary Art Society’s Acquisition Scheme attained Satellite II for Leamington Spa Art Gallery & Museum in 2015 and the large scale photographic work which relates to camouflage artworks is now on display for the first time at Leamington Spa Art Gallery & Museum. Noemie’s work is inspired by removed and isolated places and she constructs fictional photographic landscapes by joining sections of exciting architectural constructions from across Europe on large scale photographic backgrounds.

Leamington Spa Art Gallery & Museum’s September Friday Focus programme will begin with Noemie Goudal giving a talk on her practice; on Friday 2 September at 1pm. Friday Focus talks are free and open to the public.

The University of Warwick Art Collection have also recently acquired the accompanying work in the series, Satellite I through the Contemporary Art Society’s Acquisition Scheme.

Satellite II will be on display at Leamington Spa Art Gallery & Museum until 16 October 2016.
