David Moore (1961)

Biography

David Moore is a lecturer in Sculpture at Edinburgh College of Art, University of Edinburgh. 

His work is held in private and public collections around the world and he has undertaken residencies and symposia in countries including Japan, Switzerland, America, Macedonia and the Ukraine. Moore works across many media but considers his core thinking to be centered in the discipline of sculpture. 

In 2012 he was the invited artist to be in Out in the Open, a new publication about Public Art in West Lothian that looks at many perspectives of commissioning, siting and making Public Art in Scotland. 

Alongside distinguished individual careers, sculptors David Moore and Kate Davis formed ME-WE Productions in 2010 to mark their interest in collaborative working, whether with each other or designers, architects, other artists or fabricators.

Since then they have collaborated on a number of public commissions, projects and exhibitions in London, Edinburgh, Berlin, Spain, France, Austria, the Netherlands and Japan, 

In May 2019 they will showing in Venice as part of the project Alive in the Universe
